The one factor that determines how long a project will take and how successful we will be is you. Downsizing for any reason can be a difficult, emotional experience. We will work as fast or as slow as you want and do as much or as little as you want.
What are your goals?
- I have one project such as organizing my closet, paperwork, or kitchen.
- I have multiple projects and/or rooms to tackle.
- I'm moving into a much smaller home or apartment and need to decide which items to take with me.
- I've inherited a house full of belongings and don't know what to do with them!
- One or more rooms are inaccessible due to clutter.
- I have additional storage sites as well as a messy house.
- My whole life needs to be organized!
What kind of stuff do you have?
- I tend to collect items in one category, such as work or hobby, paperwork, or food.
- I have a hard time getting rid of gifts.
- I'm very sentimental and have many items that have special meaning to me.
- I can see a possible use for everything!
- I have a hard time deciding how much of an item I need, such as clothing, food, and emergency supplies.
- I have items that are still useful so I don't want to throw them away, but I don't need them.
- I collect things in case other people or family members might need them.
- I have many of my grown children's belongings.
- I have inherited a whole house of items.
- I need to help a family member who is unable to downsize on their own.
- I have gifts for others that I haven't given to them.
- I collect items from a particular time or setting. I eventually want to give them to a museum or open up a museum myself.
How often can you work on your project?
- Every day
- Two nights a week
- On weekends
- Once or twice a month
- Not at all- I need someone to go through everything and make decisions for me based on my guidelines.
What kind of assistance are you looking for?
- I need help coming up with a plan and learning organizing skills, but I can do the rest myself.
- After we have a plan, I'd like you to check up on me on a regular basis to help me keep on track and stay motivated.
- I need help breaking things down into small steps. I can do a lot of the work alone, but would like to meet regularly to review the work I've done and plan our next step.
- I need someone to work with me one-on-one throughout the entire process.
- I need someone to do this work for me.
- I don't know.
